Privacy Policy

Overview

F.I.R.E. is committed to protecting your privacy. This app does not collect personal information and all user interactions are anonymous.

Permission Access

Camera - Access:
The camera permission is used only when the user chooses to attach a photo to a report. Images are stored in base64 format and submitted anonymously to Firestore

Location - Access:
The location permission is used only if the user allows it to recieve local reports and proximity based reporting. Location data is accessed only for these reasons and never stored anywhere.

No access occurs without the user's direct action.

Anonymous Reports

Reports are submitted without user names, emails, or device IDs. We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication only to validate usage and prevent abuse. All users get a randomized id for proximity services, all of which get deleted and a new one gets given to every users the next day.

Firebase Usage

We use Firebase services (Firestore) to protect the app and ensure valid usage. Your data is not shared with any third parties. And what is shared with firebase gets encoded and details randomized before it ever reaches firebase, to further anonymize our users.

Your Rights

You may remove the app at any time. All reports older than 24 hours are automatically deleted from the database. For safety, nothing is ever logged, the app should be useable without ever showing your location.

Policy Updates

This policy may change as new features are added. Updates will be reflected on this page immediately.
